I just learned about the idea of “peach” 🍑 versus “coconut” 🥥 cultures. Peach cultures make it easy to get to know someone at first, but with a hard center that’s difficult to get through. Coconut cultures make it very hard to initiate, but once you crack it, you’re in.

Because America 🇺🇸, I experience this mostly as an individualized phenomenon than cultural. Thinking about who in my life falls into each. I am for sure, a super peachy person.
